Reinstatement of Regular Classes

Alliance is aiming to resume regular classes on July 6th. We will conduct training as normal, with some necessary measures in place.  We also ask that all students and immediate family members also be mindful of health recommendations outside the studio (hopefully this is already the case).

On July 6th, classes will resume with the following measures in place:

  • We will instate a class size limit of up to 10 students (plus instructors); this will continue as long as necessary, and if classes should exceed 10 students we will have to determine how to divide classes.
  • We will continue the practice of cleaning high-traffic contact points, and will make hand sanitizer available for use.
  • Face masks will be required for students during all regular classes.
  • We will be utilizing the Care19 app (Android / Apple); students without a phone will need to show us a device (e.g. parent’s phone) with the app in order to participate.
  • We will likely implement forehead temperature checking upon arrival for anyone coming into the studio.

All of this must be done to stick as closely as possible to the guidelines set forth by the ND Smart Restart for “Fitness Centers” and protect the students, families and the studio.

We will also ask that all students do their best to use the bathroom before they arrive so that we can limit use as much as possible.  We will discourage students from filling water from the sink, so it is even more important to bring a personal water bottle to training. Additionally, we will have no sitting room inside the studio; parents are still welcome to watch from outside, but due to recommended occupancy in the current conditions we will not have any chairs available.

We will attempt to resume most of our regularly scheduled classes.  We will only be offering one adult class (on Tuesday night) for the time being; additionally, if a student is only coming one night a week, please come to the appropriate Mon/Tues/Weds class so that we minimize the likelihood of exceeding our student limit on Thursdays. The exception to this is family.

Monday
5:30-6:30 – younger kids (orange belt+, 5-9)
7:00-8:30 – blackbelt class

Tuesday
5:30-6:30 – older kids (10+)
7:00-8:30 – adults class

Wednesday
5:30-6:30 – young beginners (no belt/white belt < 10)

Thursday
5:30-6:30 – kids class*
*since this tends to be our largest class, we will have to evaluate this after our first session to see if we can continue this class without making any changes.

Please see our detailed regular training reinstatement action plan for specific details and resources relating to this announcement.
