Alliance has decided not to reinstate regular classes at this time, however we are going to allow some small-format training (i.e. private lessons) in the month of June and we’re aiming for reinstatement of regular classes in early July.
We are moving towards re-opening the studio by allowing a small handful of students – who have been diligently working towards rank advancement and participating in the remote learning program – to come into the studio and do some work towards those goals, sticking as closely as possible to the guidelines set forth by the ND Smart Restart for “Fitness Centers.”
We have been consistently evaluating our ability to recommence our regular classes. It does look like there has been some progress, and current trends in ND are positive, so we do have some hope that we can create a schedule allowing for regular training in the near future. We have built an operational policy to safeguard students and the studio; if the ND risk level stays low or decreases further, we will have those measures in place to facilitate our resumption of in-studio classes in early July. Please see our explicit action plan for full details.
The Greenquist Association has also been working closely with government and health organizations in both North Dakota and Minnesota to develop productive information regarding reopening and Alliance will benefit from the information and advice the Association puts forward.
